This page contains the server addresses that you'll need to enter into your PPP client, e-mail client, web browser, and news reader software in order to make them function properly.

General Client Configuration Information

Use the following information to configure your Internet client connection applications.  The location of these parameters will vary depending on the software you use, but there should be an analogy to most in every Internet connection package.

IP Address

Your IP Address is server based and will be acquired from our system each time you call.  You should leave it as 0.0.0.0.

News Reader Configuration

Point your news reader to our news server usenet.netgate.net. Our news server does require authentication so be sure to enable the "The server requires me to log on" option. Your account name for the news server is:

username@usenet.netgate.net

Where "username" is the name assigned to you when you set up your account. Your password is the same password you use for dialin access and mail access.

Network Time (NNTP) Client Configuration

If you use a Network Time client you can point it at our local NNTP server ntp.netgate.net.

E-mail Configuration

The configuration of your e-mail client is dependent on your account type. Select your account type from the list below for an explanation of the settings required to send and receive mail using your account.
