NetGate Internet has partnered with Postini to provide you the latest tools to prevent viruses and junk e-mail from reaching your computer. NetGate provides both Junk E-mail Protection and Virus Protection services free as part of our commitment to bring you the best Internet Access service available.

These services are private and secure. The junk e-mail and virus protection is an automated process. Nobody has access to your e-mail except you. Nobody will read your e-mail. Your e-mail is not censored, YOU control the filter settings.

Postini's email security services process an average of 80 million email messages per day, for nearly 4 million email users worldwide. This significant volume of email is processed within milliseconds using complex rules-based heuristics to analyze both the content and message header of each message without compromising the security of the message.

Postini's ability to process messages in real-time enables us to aggregate numerous data points from each message. By analyzing this data against the millions of daily message transactions we process from around the world, we are uniquely able to provide the most statistically sound data sample for trend analysis.

Postini's Email Stat Track provides a daily glimpse of spam, virus and Directory Harvest Attack (DHA) statistics, as well as a perspective on the global nature of spam activity and other types of attacks.

Your e-mail passes through Postini's automated filters that detect suspected junk e-mail and viruses.
Suspicious e-mail is directed to your personal, web-based, password-protected Message Center (it does not arrive at your computer's inbox). Think of this as a quarantine area. In your Message Center you can read the quarantined e-mail online, delete it, or deliver (forward) it to your inbox.
Initially you should visit your Message Center often because Postini "remembers and learns" from your interaction. As time goes on you will be able to rely on Postini's periodic notifications of your Message Center activity.
Postini lets you "block" senders; meaning e-mail from them will always be filtered. Or you can "approve" senders; meaning their e-mail will always be delivered.
The service is completely controlled by you.
