Spam and Virus Protection Services

NetGate has partnered with McAfee to provide you the latest tools to prevent viruses and junk e-mail from reaching you. These services are private and secure. The protection is an automated process. Nobody has access to your e-mail except you.

As a cloud-based service, McAfee SaaS Email Protection delivers access to world-class email security with no hardware or software to buy, no backups to run, and no maintenance to perform — saving money and freeing up resources to focus on more strategic tasks.

Complete inbound email filtering — The combination of McAfee Global Threat Intelligence, proprietary WormTraq technology, over 20 separate filters, ClickProtect for click-time link scanning including proactive advanced antimalware capabilities, and our gray/bulk mail filtering capabilities protects against the world’s latest threats, defeating zero-hour attacks, and blocking phishing, advanced malware, and over 99% of spam well before they reach your network.

Here is a brief overview of the McAfee SaaS Email Protection service:

  • Your e-mail passes through McAfee's automated filters that detect suspected junk e-mail and viruses.
  • Suspicious e-mail is directed to your personal, web-based, password-protected quarantine. Using a simple web based portal you can read the quarantined e-mail online, delete it, or deliver it to your inbox.
  • McAfee lets you "block" senders; meaning e-mail from them will always be filtered. Or you can "approve" senders; meaning their e-mail will always be delivered.
  • A daily spam report is delivered to your inbox allowing you to scan and interact with messages directed to your quarantine over the last 24 hours.
