Connections and server performance are the keys to providing
reliable fast Hosting services. We utilize industry standard
Intel based servers running a commercial UNIX (BSD/OS). This
combination allows us to offer you a highly reliable high security

NetGate has built a network infrastructure that offers you
a significant amount of bandwidth and enhanced connectivity.
Our network infrastructure includes multiple DS3 (45 Mbps),
OC48 (1.2Gbps), OC12 (622 Mbps), and OC3 (155 Mbps) connections
directly to all the major backbones (UUNET, SPRINT, Genuity,
and MCI). We also have access to a OC3 (155 Mbps) continental
jump link which will allow us to pick up the major backbone
providers on the east coast without having to cross sometimes
congested internet (inside the providers themselves) links.
We support Macintosh, Windows, and UNIX customers. Our open
software policy allows you to select and use the tools that most
closely meet your requirements. We're happy to help you set up and
use any Internet access software (PPP based access software, e-mail
client, news reader, web browser, etc.). If you're just getting
started we're glad to recommend a set of graphical tools and applications
which we feel are of high quality. Whether it's a Macintosh, Windows,
or UNIX system NetGate can get you connected to the Internet quickly
and easily.
Highest Quality (All Digital) Access Facilities
Providing 100% all digital fiber access facilities allows us
to offer you the highest quality Internet access service available
in the nation. We strive for 100% up time of all equipment and
services, no one can guarantee you 100% up time, but we'll
do our best to ensure that the services you need are available
to you when you need to use them. It really doesn't make much
difference if the equipment is up if you can't connect because
of busy lines. To minimize the probability of getting a busy
signal we have selected a very low average user to modem ratio.
We have
standardized on the use of Cisco routers, Cisco and Lucent digital
communications servers. We believe this combination of equipment
enables us to offer you the very highest quality data connections
possible.

Why Your NetGate Connection is Better
We have done extensive benchmark testing to derive a minimum per
service bandwidth allocation. What this means is that if you're
using a 56 Kbps modem your throughput will not be limited because
you're sharing a network connection with too many other customers.
We've allocated a pure pipe that is large enough to handle 100%
full time data transfer by all connected customers. It's not likely
that you'll ever need, or be able to utilize the capacity of the
infrastructure but it is nice to know that our hardware is capable
of delivering to you the maximum theoretical bandwidth possible.
We will continuously monitor performance and upgrade our equipment
as necessary to guarantee you will never compete with others for
bandwidth. If you don't know what any of this means don't worry.
